Spring Fling 2024
Join us for a celebration of movement on film at San Francisco Dance Film Festival’s Spring Fling program, taking place on April 26 and April 27 at the ODC Theater.
On Friday, April 26, experience a curated selection of ten of the most popular festival films, including documentary shorts, narratives, and experimental screendance works, that represent a dynamic range of creativity with broad audience appeal. Take a tour of diverse dance styles as smoldering jazz, flamboyant drag, athletic street dance, and world-class ballet come into conversation across the globe, from the intimacy of dance studios to the bustling streets of Lagos, Mexico City, and San Francisco’s own soaring hilltops.
The Saturday, April 27 program features the eagerly anticipated premiere of SFDFF’s Co-Laboratory film Intimité Révélée, a fresh collaboration between SFDFF, Ballet22 and a creative team led by Artistic Director Lorris Eichinger, Director Natasha Adorlee, and Co-Choreographers Hope Mohr and Olivia Evans. Intimité Révélée emerges as a tender statement that dares to explore and celebrate the nuances of queer love and intimacy, alongside a live performance and screening of select queer films from the SFDFF archives.
